Steve 42/100 I met Steve while practicing action shots in Central Park. He and some friends were warming up for a baseball game. Steve suggested I wait till he got up to bat to see someone who knew how to hit the ball. He was very friendly with a good sense of humour and turned out to be a big Steely Dan fan (I was on my way to the Beacon for a SD concert). I'll think of Steve when I listen to Reeling in the Years
Irvine 40/100 Irvine was kind enough to take my money at B&H in NYC in exchange for a Sigma 30mm 1.4 lens. He was a riot and more than willing to give me his 'attitude' pose for the project. Turns out he'd completed his 100 Strangers project and was onto another.
Barbel & Bob 43/100 & 44/100 A quick enquiry about a necklace in a jewelry shop turned into a 2 hour visit with these shop owners during my vacation in CT. Before we knew it we were discussing jazz, politics, healthcare reform and aging. Berbel, originally from Germany and her American husband Bob turned out to be one of those couples that you instantly feel a connection with, as though you've been friends for years. Meeting them was such an unexpected highlight of my trip south of the border. I'm looking forward to picking up where we left off the next time I'm down. Thanks for being strangers 44 & 45!
